Music Team
While music is not the only way we can worship God, it sure is a fun way to express our worship to Him! If you are a musician (guitarist, strings player, vocalist, pianist)...you name it, we want to invite you to be a part of the team. Through music we have the opportunity to invite the congregation into the presence of God and create space for people to connect with Him.
Who: 16+
Because this team does depend on being able to play well with a band of other instruments, there is a casual audition to make sure it's a good season for you to join the music team. That being said, we want to make it doable for most people to be able to serve.
When: Sundays monthly, rehearsal starts at 2:30 pm and goes until service
Team Lead: A.C. Lee

Sacraments Team
“Do this in remembrance of me”
The Sacraments team sets the Lord's Table for every service where we celebrate Communion. We typically serve in teams of 2. We cut the bread, lay out the linens, pour the wine and juice, light the candles. We participate in the pre-service prayer meeting. After the service, we prepare the travel Communion kit for shut-ins and properly dispose of the excess wine/juice and bread. We store the clean, used linens in the Sacraments cabinet and take the soiled linens home to launder/iron and return the next week. We track the inventory of wine, juice and crackers.
Who: 18+
When: Sundays on 4-6 week rotation

Facilities Team
The Poetics of Space

Hospitality Team

Church Feasts Team
Let us keep the feast!
Eating together on church feast days is a profound way in which we continue the joyous celebration that began in worship and also connect more deeply with one another. But these feasts do not spring up on their own. A team gathers to set up the space in which we'll be eating, as well as to clean up afterwards. We could use your help with set-up and clean-up on these feast days, as well as at other smaller events for which the church provides drinks and/or snacks.
Who: Anyone 16+
When: Every major onsite feast (on average, once every two months, September-May/June), as well as at smaller church events (Discipleship Weekends, 2nd Sunday Dinners in the Park, Summer Conversations, 12th Night Party, etc.).
Team Lead: Jared Stewart

Fellowship Groups
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship…"
Fellowship Groups are the primary expression of our common life at Church of the Apostles. Anchored in neighborhoods across Charlotte, Fellowship Groups offer a place where God’s people can gather for fellowship, feasting, and formation throughout the week.
When: Our groups meet 2-3 times a month. Please reach out to the group contact for details on the group’s next meeting. Every week you can also find out which groups are meeting by checking Slack, the weekly email, or the bulletin.

Children’s and Youth Ministry Teams
Our goal is to inspire and walk alongside our children as a team in their faith by providing a safe, purposeful, and joyful environment where they can learn about God's love, grow in their understanding of His word, and develop a strong foundation of faith.
You don’t need to be a Bible expert, naturally gifted with children, or a professional teacher—you just need a willingness to show up, have fun, and help kids experience the love of Jesus!
Who: 16+
When: Sundays on a 5-6 week rotation
Team Lead: Ellie Moorefield

Women’s Ministry Team
The Women’s Ministry team is a group of women who help plan our 4-5 events per calendar year. We meet together every few months to share ideas about how our events can build up and encourage our growing community of women. Additionally, we all work together to set up, execute, and clean up after each event.

Through various events in the year—especially our spring Men’s Retreat—our prayer is to help men connect with one another and seek a greater purpose. Above all: we seek to become more like Christ. Please join us as we grow in godliness together through fellowship, service, and spiritual guidance together.

Missions Team
Join us in seeking the common good of Charlotte!
The missions team at Apostles is committed to investing in local partnerships that seek to affirm the dignity and value of the people they serve. We meet on a monthly basis to receive updates from our partners, discuss how we can best involve our congregation in their efforts, and work together to advocate for our partners and events.
Serving on the missions team could involve helping design flyers or printables, owning a missions event and helping invite others, prayerfully discerning on behalf of the church how we spend our budget, championing a new missions partner, assisting with our bimonthly food bag delivery to Project 658's Hope Community Clinic, and more!
When: First Sunday of each month at 3pm in the conference room at Little Church on the Lane
Team Lead: Kenzie Brastow
