Seeking the Common Good

The church never exists only for itself, but to seek the welfare of the city where God has placed us, and to pray to the Lord on it’s behalf (Jeremiah 29:7). Therefore, we seek to be in the world, not of the world, but for the life of the world, following Jesus in the way of self-sacrificial love.

Serve Where You Work

The primary avenue where you can seek the good of the city is through your vocation, the holy callings that unleash your unique gifts for the good of others (1 Peter 4:10; Colossians 3:23-24). Therefore, we first and foremost seek to equip you with a theology of work, helping you learn how to integrate your faith with your work, and to see your job as your kingdom assignment where you are called to do beautiful and excellent work.

Serve Where You Live

Rather than creating our own separate programs, Apostles seeks to partner with proven ministries already doing great work in Charlotte and beyond, coming alongside them with both our money and our time. Our primary partnerships include:

  • Project 658. A local ministry to Refugee and Immigrant families.

  • Brookstone Schools. A high quality, Christian education for under-resourced families in the heart of Charlotte.

  • YoungLives. A ministry of YoungLife that supports expecting and parenting teens through mentorship, community, and a life with Christ.

  • The Barnabas Center. A nonprofit, nondenominational, Christ-centered counseling, training and teaching ministry.

  • Congregations for Kids.‍ CFK exists to bring the Church and community together so vulnerable kids can thrive.

  • Anglican Relief and Development Fund.‍ ARDF connects Anglican churches with resources as they meet the needs of their communities through relief and development work.
